About Katie
Katie Weston is an award winning Melbourne based Singer, Actor, Musician and Composer. Well known for her emotionally charged, contemporary songwriting - her professional debut as composer is new Australian musical "Bloom", with lyrics and book by Australian comedy writing icon Tom Gleisner, produced by Melbourne Theatre Company and Working Dog Productions at The Arts Centre Melbourne, July 2023. Weston and Gleisner were awarded Best New Australian Music Theatre Writing by the 2024 Green Room Awards for "Bloom", which made it’s Sydney Theatre Company debut in April 2025.
Works from her acclaimed, original musical song cycle "Falling Forward" have been performed Australia wide and are included on the audition and undergraduate syllabus lists for NIDA and WAAPA Music Theatre. Weston is a Green Room Award nominated Musical Director (Legally Blonde, 2019), RENT (2018) and a two-time Music Theatre Guild of Victoria Award winning singer-actress, featuring in Vivid White (Melbourne Theatre Company), The Last 5 Years (KWM) and as Mary in Jesus Christ Superstar (CLOC).
Most recently, she starred in the Montreal Film Festival award winning short film "Suddenly: A New Musical" (2021), composed the music for SFF and International Festivals award winning short film "Die Bully Die" (2024) and appeared as Antonia Harmon in “Neighbours” (2023).

WSTN released debut electro house single "Conversation Ended" in 2023 and is about to release her four track singles EP, co-produced alongside ARIA Award winning team; songwriter and producer, Ryan Ritchie and Sgt.Slick mixer, Steve Scanlon. She released her debut alternative rock EP "Say The Word'' in 2012 under her own name.
Weston is also an in-demand lead vocalist and pianist for high profile live events, corporate entertainment, studio sessions and gigs around Australia. She also fronts her powerhouse band for her highly successful Australian touring show, "Uninvited: The Songs of Alanis Morissette ''. She is at the helm of Katie Weston Music, producing everything from live entertainment, to music composition and production, to music video production and artist branding.
By day, she is Head of Music at Leibler Yavneh College in Elsternwick, Victoria.
